Boulder Radio Training Class

If KGNU’s Denver studio is more convenient for you, DO NOT sign up for class here. Contact dave@kgnu.org to schedule a class at our Denver studio.
Getting on the air at KGNU is surprisingly easy and a lot of fun, so let’s get started.
First, about the Boulder class: it is a one-time, 3 1/2 hour class that will familiarize you with the Boulder production facilities so that you can come in on your own to practice and then make a demo tape.
Classes are generally held on Mondays and Thursdays 6:30-10 p.m.
There is a 2-person minimum/3-person max capacity in each class.
It’s possible to set up a different weeknight by special arrangement. The class minimum/maximum would still apply. Contact rtc@kgnu.org for more information.
Please Note: Radio Training Class participants must attend a KGNU Volunteer Orientation to become acquainted with the station and our overall mission before you start your journey to becoming a DJ. Orientations are held on the first Thursday in odd numbered months from 7-8pm at both the Boulder and Denver studios.
If you are unable to attend an orientation before you sign up for a Radio Training Class, you must attend the next scheduled one.
Important: Signing up does not guarantee you a spot in the class. You will receive a message from the instructor once your spot in the class is confirmed.
Cost:
- $50 for current KGNU Members
- $75 for non-members.
Advanced registration is required. Your registration allows for one cancellation/rescheduling within 3 months of signup. After that, the deposit will be considered a non-member donation to KGNU. Classes rescheduled by KGNU do not count towards a cancellation.
